Nadya Thomas
Nadya Costas Thomas, Esq., is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s family law practice.
Nadya graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.A. in Journalism, a limited-enrollment program. In 2012, Nadya obtained her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
During law school, Nadya spent a semester working as a Judicial Intern in the Hearings Unit at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Baltimore Field Office and another semester working as a Student Attorney at the University of Baltimore’s Civil Advocacy Clinic.
After law school, Nadya obtained her Maryland Real Estate License, with an Associate Broker designation.
Before joining the Law Office of Maria Mena, Nadya worked as a Paralegal Contractor in the Civil Division of the United State’s Attorney’s Office in Baltimore, Maryland, where she worked alongside Assistant United States Attorneys preparing for major litigation in Federal Court. Nadya’s background and variety of experiences make her a well-rounded family law attorney. Additionally, Nadya represents individuals in cases of bankruptcy, personal injury, and domestic law. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. Her mother is from Colombia, and her father is from Puerto Rico.
Nadya is both attentive and sensitive to the needs of clients.
Her demeanor puts clients at ease during difficult divorce, custody and
child support situations, and clients immediately recognize Nadya’s
genuine concern for their issues.
